The Mark II hand pump was designed by the United Nations.  It is made of very strong material and is the best hand pump manufactured so far.  All the parts are checked and tested to insure that they fit together perfectly.  The riser pipe is galvanized steel, and the foot valve is cast iron with a copper lining.  It seldom breaks down.
